This year’s Gates-Mueller Women’s Leadership Initiative Panel Discussion, Bettering Our Communities to Better the World, will be held on Monday, September 16 at 5:30 p.m. in the Shearer Weber Dining Room. Alumnae panelists include:

The discussion, moderated by Dr. Andrea Lopez, associate professor of political science, will highlight ways in which women are bettering their communities through civic and community engagement.  

Since 2018, the Gates-Mueller Women’s Leadership Initiative Panel Discussion has featured alumnae who have made significant contributions to their chosen fields and industries. Past panel discussion topics have included celebrating authenticity, succeeding in business, working in medicine and maintaining leadership under pressure.

The Women’s Leadership Initiative is supported by the Signe S. Gates ’71 and Dawn G. Mueller ’68 Women’s Leadership Fund, which connects female students with alumnae who inspire them to pursue leadership positions within their chosen fields.
